On the second Sunday in February, excitement filled the air at Greater New Prospect Baptist Church as members and guests came together for Super Sunday—a day of faith, fellowship, and team spirit! Everyone arrived proudly sporting their favorite team jerseys, representing squads from near and far, setting the stage for a celebration of both athletic and spiritual victories.
The highlight of the event was a powerful and uplifting message from our special guest, former Denver Broncos linebacker and defensive end, Simon Fletcher. He shared an inspiring testimony, encouraging both the young and the seasoned to trust in God’s promises through life’s spiritual and physical challenges. His words resonated deeply, reminding us that true strength comes from faith and perseverance.
Following this soul-stirring testimony, our humble Pastor Edwards delivered a dynamic and enlightening message, reinforcing the power of God’s guidance in our daily lives. With hearts full and spirits lifted, everyone made their way to the fellowship hall, where the aroma of savory sausage on a bun, fresh fruit snacks, and warm, buttery popcorn filled the room. Laughter and joy echoed as attendees enjoyed the delicious treats and the company of one another.
Super Sunday was truly a day to remember, bringing together faith, fellowship, and fun. All who attended were blessed by the experience and are already looking forward to next year’s celebration!
